The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways , but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.

We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.

We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things.

We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes.

These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom.

Remember; spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.

Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.

Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent.

Remember, to say, 'I love you' to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you.

Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.

Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

A message that reminds me on things...
So, What's on your mind now? =)

Cuz...

My tummy hurts SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO badly....! =(

Nola, I tipu... hehe~ I mean, I tipu my tummy is the reason why I haven't been blogging... But, I'm not tipu-ing that my tummy really hurts... =( But, I'll be okay tomorrow! Cuz I'm drinking lot and lots (oh did i say lots?) of COFFEE! *sips*

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaanyways, the REAL reason why I've been blogging is cuz... there's actually nothing to blog about... really, last week was lame for me...

I went out with my good-friend-who-will-always-find-something-to-argue-with-me, Aylwin Lee. Well, as usual, our outing was full of arguments that are all in the first place, urm...well, crap!... I'm serious... either its about how we disagree on chocolate and coffee don't go together, which in the 1st place no one says it goes together... or its about how he always says I always giving him "THAT look" (which I dont know what look btw, cuz I seriously din give him any look)... and the list could go on... but, I guess, that's how our friendship goes, huh Ayl! HAHAHA~

Well, last nite was SCARRY!!!! I mean, I havent been scared for quite sometime, but... last night scare the crap out of me that even coffee couldnt help! I was alone at home and about to go to bed around 1plus I think... then, I heard noises at my living room window... and for some reason my mind says "OMG! there's thieves trying to pry the window and enter the house stealing coffee-know-wat..." Then, my heart like almost wanna jump out of my nose (just to add to the kua-zhang-ness), and I start calling noff, since he is the closest to my house I could think of at that moment... But, yeah, he din answered... I keep on calling and btw the noise is still there I swear I could here noises of people wispering... and I donno how, can even know what the conversation is about... goes something like this..

Unknown person 1: "Wui, cepat la... nanti ada orang nampak!"
Unknown person 2: "Shaddap! tengah coba la nih!!"
Unknown person 3: "Saya rasa ada orang dalam rumah la...macam ada bunyi"

And I cont calling noff and slowly walk out my room towards the living room curtain, trying to peek and prove my instinct was right.... and.... guess what!?

*peeks out the window... and saw a freaking cat was scrathing the window WHO-KNOWS-WHY!!!!*

I was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo angry at that cat I almost went out and catch the cat and planning to force it to drink coffee so it wont do any stupid act like that to anyone... EVER!!!! But... nonetheless, I was relieved! =)

Then I saw noff is online in MSN, so I told him the whole thing except for trying to drown the cat in coffee part, and I said I'll call him if I here anything suspicious and needs his help, and yeah... He said he would be here in few seconds if I need him... just like Superman! So, as you figured, I couldn't sleep, cuz I keep on thinking what should I do if *touch wood*, someone really enters my house... So, now I'm prepared! *i think* hahaha... But, don't worry, I'll be fine... =)

Ya, I know the Unknown people's conversation is too silly but I heard from a friend last week there are 4 cases of armed robbery in Senadin, so, tell me la, you won't freak out when you are alone at home and you heard suspicious noise outside your house! Which cat would scratch your window for who-knows-what reason at 1+am in the morning? =S

But, I'm okay now la.... just last night's incident have made me decided to go back for CNY, although for only 6 days...but at least I dont need to be scared for an extra 6 days here in Senadin right? ; )

So, yeah, till then...
with the coffeeness in me,

*Laughs Uncontrollably*

I Know!!! It's a bit too late right? But I don't care... Cuz I'm the one who drinks coffee! =p

So... My New Year Resolution for 2009 is... *drum rolls*

To have a New Year Resolution! *REAL ONES!*

I mean, serious ones... previous years, I do have *i think* New Year Resolutions, but the next few days of the New Year I kinda forgot what was it... HAHAHA!

So, this year... I plan to have real ones... I mean, not just to have one, but to achieve something... In other words, to have a goal in life... (note: not that I don't have one, ok?)...

Well, I'll come up with something... hehehehe!!!! *tough one*

Till then...

Okay... Lame I know...

So, I'm taking this unit, Business Capstone for summer course... This unit...

no exam
no midsem
no assignment
no lecture
no tutorial

sounds fun right??? BUTTTTTTTT!!!!!!

65% game based assessment
15% company presentation
20% Reflection paper

On that note...my Dear friends, brothers and sisters and Ladies and Gentleman... Tuan-Tuan dan Puan-Puan...
Because we are to play a simulation game which this unit is basically are graded on... and so to play this game...
*and in other words, in order to attempt and pass this unit*

I have to pay freaking RM190 for a piece of paper
THIS BIG!!!!!!

for a freaking code
this LONGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!

that's not all, my friend... this is the saddest part of it... Initially, I was so happy and told everyone excitedly that I don't have to sit for final exam for THIS unit... So which means, I thought I can go back end of January to ... wherever I'm suppose to go for CNY la... MANATAU... when our Dr. Goi gave out our unit outline during our 1st class, I was like dead for 10 seconds when it is stated our last class is on the 1st week of Feb... and there's a FREAKING class on CNY day itself... wth.... so, there's one of my classmate informed him about the class falls on CNY... and TODAY.... my dear friend... TODAY!!!!!!!!! He made another announcement...

Dr Goi: "I already talk to the UC ah... so, we make a lil bit of changes in the schedule due to CNY" *passes around the updated schedule*...

And... I was dead for another 10 seconds just now in class...

it's not clear...but it is stated...

CLASS FREAKING ENDS ON 2nd WEEK OF FEBRUARY NOW!!!
*
smashing the com lab's comp* (just now la)

So, there you go... my hope... my holiday...

But, life isn't that cruel to me after all... I think it's the coffee la... =p I managed to be teamed up with 3 other cool group members... all are very supportive and coorperative *well, at least for now (fingers crossed)*... But, Thank God... I was worried initially, cuz when I see the namelist, I only know one of them. And when I was in the lab earlier, me and another friend (who is also clueless of who her groupmates are) keep on guessing who are our groupmates, pointing here and there... only to know that they are just next to us... *laughs uncontrollably but with no sound, cuz we were in the lab*

Aaaaaanyways... Gotta get back to my readings now... lots of work to be done before monday...

Till then...

Wow, this is fast... it's already 2009 and I'm graduating in... 6 MONTHS! *fingers crossed* omg...

Well, I just got back from the 2 months holiday - rotten for a month in labuan and had fun for 2 weeks in kk...

In Labuan, nothing much happened... YamCha-ing with friends and pretty much was being a full time maid. In kk, went around shopping for both xmas and CNY clothes but not much been bought, cuz I think most of the nice ones already taken by others... Sigh... But, I did spent my fab times with my family, the bf and his family. All I did was eat, shop, go to beaches, and... EAT! KK is like food heaven, you can never get tired of eating... hehe...

So, 2008 just passed like that... Thinking back, I probably hadn't done much, but I did what I could...

recap of 2008...

In 2008, I dedicate most of my time for SC (Student Council)...

They are a bunch of capable people with different skills as a SC member and very supportive as a friend. They keep me motivated and ensure me things are gonna be okay, every single time, despite of whatever that comes in between. Initially, I was always worried and doubtful, but with them helping me and each other, things somehow worked out. Yes, I do admit that some of the events and things didn't go as how others want it to be, but for sure, we worked our ass off for every single event, and trust me, it wasn't easy. By the end of our term, I learnt that the outcome is already a past, and I just need to pack my bags and take the experience and friendship with me. I certainly have tried my best - trying to be a leader and at the same time trying to please people. I learnt so much about people and most importantly, myself. This experience gave me a heads up of who I am and what I really want in life. And one thing for sure, I make some pretty good friends along the way, although I may not know how long we can keep in touch, but each and everyone have made their mark in my life, and taught me different lessons about life. So, my crazy-SC-members-who never get serious in meetings, THANK YOU! =) *tears*
